Boot Düsseldorf will be the first official stop for the 2020 international tour to promote Marine della Toscana, the consortium created a few months ago to introduce the Regional marinas and ports on the main international markets in a coordinated way.
At the international boat show in Germany, scheduled from 18th to 26th January, the new group will be introduced to the operators thanks to the support of the Tuscany Region, financing the internationalization project.
The consortium has already participated, last November, at ICE exhibition in Vienna for a recon in the world of charters and, after Düsseldorf, the 2020 program includes the participation at the Dubai International Boat Show scheduled on 10th-14th March, with the aim of promoting the consortium on the Middle East market.

The internationalization strategy includes a temporary showroom at the Yacht Club during the Monaco Yacht Show (23rd - 26th September 2020), and the design and diffusion of promotional materials, a website and a very focused communication campaign.
One of the main objectives is to promote abroad, together with Tuscany brand, the excellences of the industry, in order to develop an innovative and integrated tourism, able to compete with the competitors beyond the Italian borders.
A strategy that the Tuscany Region has already adopted with integrated promotion project Costa Toscana | Isole Toscane which involves five coastal counties (Massa, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto) and enhances their individual features and uniquenesses, through the definition of thematic and integrated itineraries that make it possible to develop the tourism all year long.
A new synergy to better face the national and international competition.

"The tradition of Tuscany nautical sector - says the Regional Councilor for Productive Activities Stefano Ciuoffo - is a heritage that deserves to be valued and promoted in a proper way. A sector which employs thousands of people in Tuscany and plays a key role in the region's economy. We work to support the entire sector and encourage opportunities able to give visibility with internationalization projects. The creation of the consortium is very important and I am convinced that, thanks to the ability of the nautical companies to invest in research and innovation of products and processes, Tuscany will be able to maintain and strengthen its competitive attitude worldwide ".
“Tuscany represents one of the national excellence in this sector - adds Francesco Palumbo, director of Toscana Promozione - with top-level ports capable of welcoming an high-quality tourism that - relying on the latest generation of services within the infrastructures on the sea – is able to find an easy access to all the other beauties of the region (historical, artistic and natural), facilitating the development of tourism in the coastal area. For this reason, together with the Costa Toscana project - a green innovation platform dedicated to destinations on the coast - we must focus on those networks which can play in favor of the internal Tuscan tourism system, in order to increase its offer and hospitality”.
“The creation of the consortium represents a very important first step in the direction of a real and effective collaboration between the Tuscan ports - underlines Matteo Italo Ratti, President of Marine della Toscana - and the joint participation in the international events will highlight the strengths of Tuscany towards competitors in terms of quality of services, technological innovation, beauty and cultural and tourist offer of the territory”.
“The promotion of the consortium completes the effort to enhance the Tuscany brand as a high profile destination for yachting and nautical tourism - declares the director Pietro Angelini. The partnership of ports and marinas is a fundamental action for the nautical district of the region that may lead to a growth also in the sectors of training, promotion and innovation".
